TNI AL LUNCURKAN KAPAL PC 40 M PRODUKSI DALAM NEGERI

TNI Angkatan Laut melaksanakan peluncuran (launching) dan pemberian nama (shipnaming) dua kapal perang baru jenis Patroli Cepat (PC-40 M) Karotang-872 dan Mata Bongsang-873 yang diresmikan oleh Kepala Staf Angkatan Laut (Kasal) Laksamana TNI Yudo Margono, S.E., M.M., didampingi Ketua Umum Jalasenastri Ny. Vero Yudo Margono, bertempat di Galangan PT Karimun Anugrah Sejati (KAS), Batam, Kepulauan Riau, Senin (24/8).

Kapal patroli cepat 40 M ini, memiliki spesifikasi panjang 45,5 meter, lebar 7,9 meter dan bobot 220 ton. Kapal ini mampu melaju dengan kecepatan maksimal 24 knot, kecepatan jelajah 17 knot dan kecepatan ekonomis 15 knot, serta memiliki ketahanan (endurance) berlayar selama enam hari. Kapal perang ini juga dilengkapi dengan dua unit radar dan senjata meriam 30 mm dan akan diawaki 35 prajurit.

Pada acara peluncuran tersebut, Kasal mengatakan bahwa Indonesia sebagai negara maritim kepulauan terbesar di dunia, sudah seharusnya memperkuat kemampuan dalam mengamankan wilayah perairan yang sangat luas, guna menjamin keamanan dan keselamatan pelayaran di seluruh perairan yurisdiksi Indonesia yang merupakan bentuk tanggung jawab kita sebagai negara kepulauan.

Hal tersebut memiliki konsekuensi perlunya penambahan kapal-kapal patroli secara bertahap hingga memenuhi jumlah yang dibutuhkan.

“Pembangunan kapal patroli 40 M ini, merupakan bagian integral dari pembanguan kekuatan TNI AL sesuai dengan perencanaan strategis yang telah ada, yang bertujuan untuk mendukung pemenuhan tugas TNI AL.

Realisasi pembangunan kemampuan dari pemenuhan kapal patroli ini, harus pula ditunjang dengan peningkatan kemampuan dan profesionalitas prajurit pengawaknya sebagai perwujudan dari TNI AL yang profesional, modern dan tangguh,” ujar Kasal.

Alutsista TNI Angkatan Laut ini, merupakan kapal perang produksi dalam negeri yang diproduksi PT Karimun Anugrah Sejati. Direncanakan kapal tersebut akan memperkuat jajaran unsur patroli di bawah Satuan Patroli (Satrol) Lantamal X Jayapura dan Satrol Lantamal I Belawan.

Peluncuran Kapal Perang ditandai dengan prosesi pemecahan kendi oleh Ketua Umum Jalasenastri Ny. Vero Yudo Margono selaku “Ibu Kandung Kapal”, pemotongan tali tambat dan penyerahan miniatur kapal.

Seusai diresmikan Kasal Laksamana TNI Yudo Margono, S.E., M.M., berkesempatan melaksanakan peninjauan ke kapal, mulai dari geladak, anjungan dan bagian-bagian kapal lainnya.

Hadir pada kegiatan tersebut para Pejabat Tinggi TNI AL diantaranya Asintel Kasal, Asrena Kasal, Aspers Kasal, Aslog Kasal, Pangkoarmada I, Pangkoarmada II, Kadispenal, Kadisadal, Kadislaikmatal, Kadisbekal, Danlantamal IV, Danguskamla Koarmada I, Komisaris dan Dirut PT KAS serta Satuan Tugas Yekda Dalam Negeri.

Sebelum acara peresmian, Kasal meninjau Markas Komando Gugus Keamanan Laut (Guskamla) Koarmada I yang diterima langsung oleh Komandan Guskamla Koarmada I Laksma TNI Yayan Sofiyan, S.T.
