Jakarta, Beritaterkini.co.id- Kamar Dagang dan Industri (Kadin) Jakarta Selatan meminta pemerintah kota memperluas akses internet bagi pelaku usaha mikro, kecil dan menengah (UMKM) untuk menunjang sektor ekonomi di tengah pandemi COVID-19.
“Seharusnya ada keberpihakan ke pelaku UMKM karena sekarang akses internet biayanya cukup mahal,” kata Ketua Kadin Jakarta Selatan, A. Laftranta Siregar dalam keterangan tertulis yang diterima di Jakarta, Jumat.
Karena itu, dia menilai perlu dorongan dari pemerintah untuk bisa membantu memberi kemudahan bagi pelaku UMKM dalam akses internet.
Pria yang akrab disapa Afan itu mengatakan bahwa penambahan fasilitas internet sebagai penunjang infrastruktur tersebut akan sangat membantu para pelaku UMKM dalam memasarkan produknya.
Dia mengatakan, pihaknya akan menelaah seberapa penting masalah internet bagi UMKM yang nantinya dikomunikasikan dengan Dinas dan Sudin Kominfotik.
“Kami dengarkan apa yang bisa disuarakan akan kami bantu,” tutur dia.
Dia menambahkan, di era digital saat ini para pelaku UMKM merupakan prioritas bagi program Kadin ke depannya. Kendati beberapa pelaku usaha tidak memerlukan dukungan internet untuk memasarkan produknya, namun jumlah pelaku tadi terbilang sedikit.
Menurut Afan, pemasaran secara luring sebenarnya masih dapat dilakukan, khususnya bagi penjual atau pasar yang sudah lama.
Namun demikian, berbeda dengan mereka yang baru memulai usahanya yang memerlukan usaha lebih untuk memasarkan produknya secara luring.
“Yang baru masuk saya rasa itu jadi suatu keniscayaan. Karena saya melihat menjual produk tanpa masuk ke dalam era digital, saya rasa akan sulit,” ungkapnya.
Saat ini, kata Afam, ada sebanyak 3.500 pelaku UMKM telah terdaftar di Kadin Jakarta Selatan. Jumlah itu diperkirakan akan terus bertambah setiap tahunnya.
Hal itu ditambah dengan adanya pergeseran sektor pelaku usaha yang bergerak di bidang perdagangan ke industri kreatif.
“Saya melihat makin ke sini pelaku UMKM bergeser ke industri kreatif, itu yang menarik. Generasi milenial potensinya luar biasa, karena saya melihat mereka banyak yang tidak punya toko, buka dapur, sementara omzet bisa puluhan juta,” tuturnya.
Sultan Ramadea Malik dari Asosiasi Generasi Melek Digital mengatakan, ketersediaan jaringan internet sangat menunjang untuk menggerakkan roda UMKM.
Ia menilai jaringan yang disediakan pemerintah Provinsi DKI Jakarta, melalui program JakWifi perlu diperluas.
Merujuk data yang dihimpun dari aplikasi JAKI terdapat sekitar 1.282 titik wifi dengan akses point 2155 yang tersebar di Jakarta Selatan.
“Saya melihat, jaringan ini sudah ada di beberapa titik lokasi. JakWifi menjadi penunjang para pelaku UMKM untuk mengembangkan usahanya melalui marketplace, khususnya para pelaku ekonomi kreatif di wilayah Jakarta Selatan,” kata Sultan.
Kepala Suku Dinas Komunikasi, Informatika dan Statistik Jakarta Selatan, Sugiono menuturkan, pihaknya tengah mencari solusi agar jangkauan jarak JakWifi dapat terdistribusi secara luas.
“Kita fasilitasi. Namun kalau masuk ke jangkauan, misalnya, ke rumah, di kamar, kan terhalang tembok. Ini sedang kami cari solusi agar jangkauannya lebih panjang lagi,” tutur dia.
