Ada banyak cara masyarakat dalam merayakan hari kemerdekaan RI yang ke 75.Biasanya diisi dgn lomba-lomba kerakyatan seperti panjat pinang, makan krupuk dan lain lain. Namun hal yang berbeda dilakukan oleh Warga Banjar Batanbuah Desa Kesiman Petilan Kecamatan Denpasar Timur,Mereka melakukan kegiatan susur sungai dan sekaligus bersih-bersih sungai ayung yg kebetulan melintas disebelah timur desa Kesiman Petilan.

Kegiatan ini dilakukan pada hari minggu 16 Agustus 2020 yg dimulai pukul 9.00 wita. kegiatan diikuti oleh Sekeha Teruna Yowana Werdhi,ibu-ibu PKK, Pecalang dan Warga Banjar Batanbuah kesiman petilan.

Acara bersih-bersih dan susur sungai ini dimulai dari ujung utara Desa Kesiman Petilan tepatnya di Pura Bulak Empul, menyusuri ke hilir dan melakukan bersih-bersih sungai di bantaran sungai depan Pura Taman Desa.

Setelah melakukan bersih-bersih sungai dgn membersihkan alur sungai dari kayu dan sampah plastik. Kegiatan dilanjutkan susur sungai dgn Tubing, karena di sepanjang aliran sungai ini sangat bagus dijadikan aktivitas ini. kegiatan ini benar-benar membuat semua warga gembira dan tak terasa lelah.

Tujuan kegiatan ini,Seperti yg diungkapkan oleh kelian Banjar Batanbuah bapak Ir I Wayan Sudana “selain ingin menumbuhkan sikap peduli warga akan kebersihan sungai, dan sekaligus juga ingin menjadikan potens sungai ini sebagai destinasi wisata air dan edukasi,sehingga kedepannya bisa menjadi daya angkat pertumbuhan ekonomi warga di bidang UMKM”

kegiatan susur sungai ini berakhir di area Sungai Depan Pura Dalem Mutering Jagad Kesiman.(Red/Aj)
