beritaterkini. co. id-TABANAN | Tradisi Duase di Gedong Carik merupakan upacara yang dilakukan masyarakat Bali saat memanen padi pertama. Upacara ini diadakan di pura sawah (Gedong Carik) dan memiliki berbagai fungsi penting yang sarat akan makna simbolis dan religius.
DUASE adalah bentuk simbolis dari Dewi Sri atau Bhetari Sri yang diwujudkan dalam Duase padi. Padi yang digunakan sebagai Duase adalah padi yang terletak di hulu carik (di depan). Pembuatan Duase tidak boleh dilakukan sembarangan, harus berdasarkan hari baik yang ditentukan dalam kalender Bali. Setelah padi kering dan disimpan di lumbung (Jineng), upacara Duase dilakukan pada hari baik yang disebut dengan Mantenin.
Tradisi ini merupakan bentuk rasa syukur kepada Dewi Sri, dewi kemakmuran dalam kepercayaan Hindu di Bali, atas panen yang melimpah. Ucapan syukur ini diwujudkan dengan mempersembahkan hasil panen pertama kepada Dewi Sri sebagai bentuk penghormatan dan terima kasih.
Selain Tradisi, hal ini juga merupakan bentuk penghormatan kepada alam semesta atas kesuburan tanah dan air yang memungkinkan padi tumbuh dan menghasilkan panen yang melimpah. Sembahyang di pura sawah menjadi momen untuk memohon kelancaran panen berikutnya dan menjaga keseimbangan alam.
Upaya ini melalui Tradisi adalah warisan budaya leluhur yang dijaga dan dilestarikan oleh masyarakat Bali. Melakukan sembahyang di pura sawah menjadi cara untuk menghormati tradisi dan nilai-nilai budaya yang telah diwariskan turun temurun.
Sebelum melakukan aktivitas di sawah atau panen padi, ritual sembahyang di pura beji uluning sawah (Pura Bedugul) juga dipercaya sebagai cara untuk menyucikan diri dari kotoran dan dosa. Diyakini bahwa dengan melakukan ritual ini, panen padi akan diberkati dan terhindar dari hama dan penyakit.
Lokasi Gedong Carik, pura sawah tempat pelaksanaan upacara Duase. Terlihat beberapa bangunan kecil yang digunakan untuk menyimpan persembahan dan tempat padi Duase. Latar belakang hijau dengan sawah yang luas menggambarkan keindahan dan kesuburan alam Jatiluwih, yang terkenal dengan sistem irigasi subak yang telah diakui sebagai warisan budaya dunia oleh UNESCO.
Dengan melaksanakan ” tradisi Duase, ” masyarakat Jatiluwih tidak hanya merayakan panen yang melimpah tetapi juga memperkuat ikatan mereka dengan alam dan tradisi leluhur, menjaga keseimbangan antara manusia dan alam yang merupakan esensi kehidupan di Bali (red)
