Langkah Indonesia ini mengikuti beberapa negara yang telah lebih dulu memberlakukan larangan masuk bagi warga Cina untuk mengantisipasi penyebaran Virus Corona. Sejumlah negara itu adalah Amerika Serikat, Australia, Selandia Baru, Malaysia, dan Singapura.
Tertuang dalam berita acara tersebut bahwa pihak Kemenlu telah menyerahkankan 242 orang WNI dan 1 org WN A merupakan peserta program pemulangan. Sukarela yang diselenggarakan oleh pemerintah Indonesia dalam rangka penanganan situasi darurat wabah virus Corona di Republik Rakyat Tiongkok.
Sebanyak 243 tersebut akan melalui masa observasi di Natuna Kepri. Menteri Kesehatan dari waktu ke waktu akan menyampaikan update perkembangan. (BRT)
