Penyebab meninggalnya pria yang saat ini menjabat sebagai Kaprodi Pendidikan Fisika di FKIP UMN Al-Washliyah Medan itu diduga disebabkan oleh penyakit jantung.
“Berdasarkan penjelasan tadi, petugas ambulans sampai di sana beliau sudah tidak bernyawa lagi. Sempat dilakukan pertolongan juga sama beberapa wisudawan doktor yang kebetulan dokter jantung kan. Memang sudah meninggal,” ujar Kasubbag Hukum dan Humas RS USU, Muhammad Zeinizen, Senin (24/2/2020) sebagaimana dilansir dari halaman detiknews.
Dia mengatakan Gade merupakan wisudawan doktor dari jurusan fisika. Dia sudah berada di auditorium USU, lokasi prosesi wisuda. Menurutnya, jenazah Gade sempat dibawa ke RS USU.
“Dinyatakan meninggal 07.56 WIB di RS USU,” ucapnya.
Zeinizen menyebut pihak keluarga juga ikut mendampingi hingga di RS USU. Dia mengatakan pihak keluarga Gade sempat menyebut mendiang memang memiliki riwayat penyakit.
“Sebelum ini ada sakitnya cuma tidak dibilang sakitnya apa,” ujar Zeinizen.
Staf UMN Al-Washliyah Medan, Muslim, yang dihubungi melalui teleponmembenarkan perihal meninggalnya M. Gade.
“Benar bang, pak Gade Kaprodi Fisika kita meninggal pagi tadi di acara wisuda di USU, saat ini kami sedang menuju rumah duka, mohon doanya untuk almarhum,” kata Muslim.
