Oleh sebab itu, dalam rangka mendukung Pemerintah mempercepat pencegahan dan penanganan Virus Corona (Covid-19) di Provinsi Lampung, perempuan Partai Golkar Lampung Selatan mengadakan acara Bhakti sosial (baksos) dengan memberikan bantuan berupa sabun cuci tangan di Desa Margomulyo, Margorejo Gedung Agung dan Margo Agung, sebanyak 500 botol paket sabun cuci tangan, Senin (13/4/2020).
Bantuan tersebut diserahkan langsung oleh fungsionaris Partai Golkar Lampung Selatan Ibu Maria Agatha Wartinem kepada perwakilan Masyarakat, turut mendampingi ketua LSM KPK Tipikor Lampung Selatan Bapak Sutrimo beserta jajaran pengurus, Kapolsek Jati Agung , Koramil Jati Agung dan Kru Kantor TVRI Lampung.
Melalui kesempatan tersebut Ibu Maria Agatha Wartinem yang juga sebagai Anggota Fraksi Golkar DPRD Kabupaten Lampung Selatan dari Daerah pemilihan V (lima) Kecamatan Jati Agung mengatakan, baksos yang digelar di 3 (tiga) Desa diinisiasi sebagai rasa prihatin yang mendalam dan sikap Peduli atas musibah Covid-19 yang tengah dirasakan oleh Masyarakat Indonesia.
“Bantuan ini diinisiasi sebagai rasa prihatin yang mendalam atas musibah yang saat ini tengah menimpa Negeri tercinta, harapannya Masyarakat mengikuti imbauan Pemerintah untuk tidak keluar rumah (Social Distancing), mengenakan masker saat keluar
dari rumah, hal ini untuk memutus rantai penyebaran virus Covid-19 yang sedang merajalela diberbagai tempat”, katanya.
