JAKARTA – BERITATERKINI.co.id – Menteri Koordinator Bidang Politik Hukum dan Keamanan Mahfud MD, Menteri Dalam Negeri Tito Karnavian dan sejumlah komisioner KPU bertemu dengan Presiden Joko Widodo di Istana Merdeka, Senin (11/11/2019).
Mahfud MD mengatakan pertemuan salah satunya membahas soal usulan Tito tentang evaluasi pelaksanaan pilkada langsung.
Namun ia menegaskan jika sampai saat ini pemerintah belum memiliki sikap resmi soal tersebut.
“Ada disinggung tapi tidak dibahas, tapi pemerintah belum punya pendapat resmi. Kami baru saling lempar ide jadi belum dibahas dan belum ada kesimpulan. Tapi tentu akan dibahas,” kata Mahfud di Kompleks Istana Kepresidenan, Jakarta.
Dia mengaku bahwa usulan Tito akan dibahas lebih lanjut di kemudian hari.
“Nanti dibahas semuanya, artinya semua ditampung dulu, semua ide ditampung. Posisi tadi kan KPU yang melapor. Kalau secara internal nanti kita akan bicara,” ujarnya.
“Dibahas pasti, tapi apa diubah atau tidak itu nanti,” pungkasnya.
Sebelumnya, Mendagri Tito Karnavian mengungkapkan keinginannya untuk mengevaluasi sistem pilkada langsung yang dinilai menimbulkan banyak dampak negatif. Menurut Tito, pilkada langsung membutuhkan biaya yang tidak sedikit dan rawan korupsi.
“Itu bukan suatu kejutan buat saya, kenapa? Mungkin hampir semua kepala daerah berpotensi melakukan tindak pidana korupsi. Kenapa? Bayangin dia mau jadi kepala daerah, bupati (butuh biaya politik) Rp 30-50 M. Gaji Rp 100 juta taruhlah Rp 200 juta, kali 12, Rp 2,4 M kali 5 tahun, Rp 12 miliar. Keluar Rp 30 M,” kata Tito di Kompleks Parlemen, Senayan, Jakarta, Rabu (06/11/2019).
