MEDAN – BERITATERKINI.CO.ID – Pemerintah Provinsi (Pemprov) Sumatera Utara (Sumut) kembali menerima bantuan masker dan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) dari Pemerintah Pusat, Jumat (10/4), di Lanud Suwondo Medan. Bantuan sebanyak 10.000 APD dan 6.000 masker itu diangkut menggunakan pesawat Hercules milik TNI AU.
Sekretaris Daerah Provinsi (Sekdaprov) Sumut R Sabrina selaku Ketua Harian Gugus Tugas Percepatan Penanganan Covid-19 Sumut mengatakan bantuan ini sangat membantu Pemprov Sumut dalam mengatasi penyebaran Covid-19.
“Kita sudah terima bantuan dari Pemerintah Pusat sebanyak 10.000 APD dan 6000 Masker. Bantuan ini sangat membantu kita di Sumut yang nantinya diperuntukan bagi rumah sakit (RS) rujukan di seluruh kabupaten/kota untuk perlindungan tenaga medis yang merupakan garda terdepan,” ucap R Sabrina didampingi Danlanud Soewondo Kolonel Pnb Meka Yudanto, Kepala BPBD Sumut Riadil Akhir Lubis, Kadis Kesehatan Sumut Alwi Mujahit Hasibuan serta Kepala Biro Humas dan Keprotokolan Sumut Hendra Dermawan Siregar.
Sabrina yakin bantuan lainnya dari Pemerintah Pusat akan terus digulirkan secara bertahap dalam upaya penangan wabah Covid-19 di Sumut. “Saya yakin pemerintah pusat akan memberikan bertahap bantuan dan tidak ini saja,” kata Sabrina usai menerima bantuan tersebut.
Sementara itu, Danlanud Soewondo Kolonel Pnb Meka Yudanto yang menyerahkan bantuan tersebut ke Pemprov Sumut mengatakan TNI AU telah menyiapkan dan memanfaatkan alusista yakni pesawat Hercules sebagai armada pengangkutan kebutuhan penanganan Covid-19.
“Ini sudah gelombang kedua pesawat Hercules mendarat membawa kebutuhan medis ke Sumut. Pesawat Hercules memiliki daya angkut yang cukup besar,” katanya.
Meka Yudanto mengatakan, TNI AU akan selalu siap membantu dalam penanganan wabah Covid-19 terutama membantu tenaga medis sebagai garda terdepan yang harus dilindungi dan diberikan rasa aman dalam merawat pasien Covid-19.
