OKU TIMUR-SUMSEL, WWW.BERITATERKINI.CO.ID |Ditengah merebaknya wabah Corona Virus Disiase 2019 (COVID-19) yang melanda hampir di seluruh penjuru Nusantara, menjadi perhatian semua pihak baik Pemerintah Pusat, Daerah, Kota, bahkan elemen Masyarakat yang terus bahu-membahu memerangi virus COVID-19.
Sebagai wujud untuk meringankan beban masyarakat terdampak langsung oleh adanya wabah COVID-19, kini Dewan Pimpinan Cabang (DPC) Lembaga Swadaya Masyarakat (LSM) Kesatuan Aksi Mahasiswa dan Pemuda Untuk Demokrasi (KAMPUD) Oku Timur memberikan bantuan berupa paket sembako kepada masyarakat, Kamis (23/4/2020).
Dikatakan oleh Ketua DPC LSM KAMPUD Oku Timur M. Obrin, S.Sos, melalui wadah LSM kita akan terus memberikan peranan yang bermanfaat untuk masyarakat.
“Sebagai organisasi LSM KAMPUD, selalu berusaha memberikan peranan yang bermanfaat di tengah masyarakat, apalagi disaat mewabahnya virus corona, yang berdampak pada sebagian masyarakat yang tidak bisa beraktivitas di luar. Sehingga sangat kondisi ekonomi masyarakat semakin tertekan”, katanya.
“Kondisi tersebut menggugah dan menginisiasi LSM KAMPUD untuk memberikan sesuatu yang bermanfaat bagi masyarakat. Melalui kegiatan pembangian sembako ini diharapkan mampu meringankan beban masyarakat yang saat ini memang sedang membutuhkan uluran tangan”, terangnya.
Kegiatan pembagian Sembako dilakukan di Desa Tanjung Kemala, Kecamatan Martapura, Desa Pulau Negara Kecamatan BP Peliung dan Desa Suka Raja Kecamatan Buay Madang. Sebanyak 300 paket Sembako dibagikan kepada masyarakat, jelas Obrin.
“Kita sadari apa yang kita bantukan ini masih jauh dari cukup namun kita berharap apa yang kita lakukan ini bisa bermanfaat bagi Masyarakat”, ungkapnya.
Ia juga mengajak masyarakat untuk mengikuti imbauan Pemerintah dengan tidak melakukan kegiatan di luar rumah, tidak menggelar kegiatan yang melibatkan orang banyak, tidak berkerumun dan membiasakan pola hidup bersih dan sehat guna memutus mata rantai penyebaran virus corona.
