Dalam rangka Peringatan Hari Anti Narkotika Internasional tahun 2022, Rektor Universitas Udayana Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Gde Antara, M.Eng.,IPU pada Minggu pagi (19/06/2022) menghadiri International Table Tennis Championship 2022 “Smash On Drugs” yang diselenggarakan oleh Badan Narkotika Nasional (BNN) Republik Indonesia di Auditorium Widyasabha, Kampus Unud Jimbaran.
Acara ini terselenggara atas kerjasama BNN dengan Universitas Udayana dan Bank Rakyat Indonesia ( BRI), event ini diselenggarakan selama 4 (empat) hari mulai tanggal 19 s.d 22 Juni 2022.
Hadir langsung dalam acara ini Kepala BNN – Dr. Petrus Reinhard Golose, MM beserta para jajaran pimpinan di BNN; Vice President BRI, Konsulat Jenderal Malaysia di Indonesia; Kadisdikpora Provinsi Bali Wakil Walikota Denpasar; Sekda Badung; Sekda Gianyar. Adapaun Para Atlet Delegasi yang berkompetisi dari 6 Negara antara lain : Thailand; India; Korea Selatan; Malaysia; Singapura dan Indonesia dengan total peserta 236 dan 80 pelatih.
Dalam sambutannya Rektor Unud sangat mengapresiasi penyelenggaraan event internasional ini, dan hubungan baik yang telah terjalin selama ini antara Unud dengan BNN terlebih lagi dengan Komjen.Pol. Dr.Golose.
Kejuaraan ini merupakan cara yang sangat baik untuk membina dan mendidik generasi muda untuk melakukan kegiatan yang positif, yang bertujuan tidak hanya mengalihkan pikiran negatif, mengisi waktu dengan melakukan kegiatan yang bermanfaat dan untuk menjaga kebugaran jasmani dengan berolahraga.
Selain berolahraga juga dapat meningkatkan rasa kekeluargaan dalam upaya penguatan lingkungan untuk menjauhi penyalahgunaan narkoba
Komjen.Pol. Dr.Drs. (H.C.) Petrus Reinhard Golose, M.M dalam sambutannya menyampaikan ucapan selamat datang kepada seluruh atlet yang nantinya akan bertanding dalam acara Smash on Drugs dalam rangka Hari Anti Narkotika Internasional.
Event ini bertujuan untuk membangun spirit untuk bersama-sama kita memerangi narkotika. “Kita mulai dari Universitas Udayana ini, untuk digelorakan ke seluruh Indonesia untuk perang melawan narkotika”,tegas Petrus.
Permasalahan narkotika ini merupakan permasalahan global, permasalahan yang ada di Indonesia ini adalah berasal dari bulan sabit emas dan segi tiga emas yang harus di antisipasi bersama.
Golose berharap para pejabat, para supporter dan para atlit yang hadir pada saat ini untuk bersama-sama menyatakan perang terhadap narkotika, kita smash on drugs, jika hal ini tidak dilaksanakan maka kita akan kehilangan lebih banyak generasi yang berbahagia, yang bisa hidup lebih layak dan hidup lebih baik.
