Sehingga malah menimbulkan kepanikan. Terlebih lagi jika ternyata pemberitaan itu adalah hoaks yang terkait dengan virus corona.
“Para guru-guru kita, para habaib, yang hari ini ada di sini juga sudah mengingatkan agar kita semua jangan khawatir terhadap berita hoaks terkait virus corona. Apalagi sampai panik karena berbagai hoaks yang beredar. Pemerintah kita serius menangani virus corona ini,” tegas Wakapolri yang hadir dalam peringatan Isra’ Mi’raj di Masjid Jami’ al Ma’mur, Tangerang, Kamis (5/3/2020).
Wakapolri melanjutkan, masyarakat sepatutnya mengikuti anjuran pemerintah agar terhindar dari virus corona tersebut.
“Jaga kesehatan kita dan jangan lupa agar terus memanjatkan doa agar epidemi virus corona ini segera bisa diberantas tuntas. Selain itu juga, cari informasi dari para ahli yang sebenarnya. Serta melalui saluran-saluran resmi yang telah disediakan oleh pemerintah,” lanjut Wakapolri.
Berdasarkan catatan, sepanjang 23 Januari hingga 3 Maret 2020, terdeteksi 147 berita bohong atau hoaks hadir di tengah masyarakat. Hoaks itu memiliki kaitan dengan vrus corona.
“Kita doakan agar Indonesia terus diberikan kedamaian, kesejukan serta dijauhkan dari orang-orang yang menyebar hoaks. Kita mesti jaga, syukuri nikmat tersebut. Lihat negara lain, was-was dan punya rasa khawatir untuk beraktifitas, salah satu penyebabnya karena hoaks yang bertebaran. Untuk itu, seperti juga salah satu dari tujug program prioritas dari Kapolri yaitu pemantapan harkamtibnas, Polri senantiasa hadir untuk menghalau hoaks. Salah satunya dengan mengingatkan seperti ini,” ujar Wakapolri.
Dalam kesempatan yang sama, Habib Syech bin Abdul Qadir Assegaf juga menegaskan agar para para penyebar hoaks menghentikan aksi mereka.
“Jangan buat bangsa ini takut karena berita-berita yang menakutkan. Apalagi berita-berita yang tidak benar,” kata Habib Syech. /BRT
