Candi Jiwa adalah candi peninggalan kerajaan Hindu Tarumanegara Jawa Barat yang eksistensinya masih belum banyak diketahui oleh masyarakat Nusantara hal ini bisa terjadi karena dalam buku buku sejarah Nusantara candi ini tidak pernah disebut.

Keunikan Candi yang terletak di komplek permandian Batujaya wilayah Pakisjaya, Kerawang, Jawa Barat ini karena terletak di hamparan sawah yang subur dengan Pemandangan persawahan yang luas dan mempesona. Selain itu Candi Jiwa struktur bagian atasnya berbentuk seperti bunga padma (bunga teratai) serta Bangunan candi Jiwa tidak terbuat dari batu, namun dari lempengan-lempengan batu bata.

Keunikan lain dari Candi jiwa adalah memiliki aura yang sangat mistis. Dari keterangan warga yang menghuni daerah sekitar candi Jiwa mengatakan bahwa dulu ada beberapa kali kejadian binatang Kambing yang tiba tiba mati tampa sebab karena melewati unur atau gundukan tanah yang menutupi candi tersebut, mulai saat itu masyarakat disekitar Candi itu menganggap bahwa Candi itu memiliki “Jiwa”, karena tidak hanya sekali kejadian kambing yang mati tampa sebab yang jelas karena melewati unur tersebut mati.

Situs Candi Jiwa ini termasuk dalam salah satu candi tertua yang pernah berdiri di Indonesia. Bahkan banyak yang berpendapat bahwa Candi ini adalah candi pertama yang dibangun di Bumi Nusantara.
