Jakarta, BeritaTerkini.co.id – Calon Wakil Gubernur (Cawagub) Sumatera Barat (Sumbar), Audy Joinaldy menjalin silaturahmi dengan Gubernur DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan, Senin sore (09/12/20).
“Saya yang didampingi Ketua Saiba (Sahabat Indonesia Baru) Ilham beserta Pengurus Pusat, bertemu langsung dengan Bapak Anies Baswedan,” kata Audy.
Anies menyambut hangat kedatangan Audy di Pendopo Balai Kota, Kecamatan Gambir, Jakarta Pusat, DKI Jakarta.
Sebagaimana diketahui, Audy dan Anies sama-sama memiliki latar belakang sebagai akademisi. Anies sempat tercatat sebagai Rektor termuda di Universitas Paramadina periode 2007-2015. Selain itu, ia juga sempat menjabat sebagai Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (2014-2016) untuk Kabinet Kerja di bawah kepemimpinan Presiden Joko Widodo dan Wakil Presiden Jusuf Kalla.
Sedangkan Audy, disamping seorang pengusaha yang bergerak di Bidang Pertanian dan Peternakan juga merupakan seorang akademisi yang meraih gelar di sejumlah kampus ternama Indonesia seperti Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB), Universitas Hasanuddin (Unhas) Makassar, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) Jogja. Bahkan, ia lulus dari kampus pertanian terbaik di dunia yaitu, Wageningen University & Research (WUR) Belanda. Saat ini Audy sering mengisi kuliah umum, seminar Nasional dan Internasional, talkshow di sejumlah kampus Indonesia dari Sumatera hingga Papua.
Duduk di atas kursi kayu sembari ditemani teh hangat. Terlihat kedua akademisi itu, sangat asyik berdiskusi membahas Sumatera Barat.
Anies mengatakan, ia sangat mengagumi tokoh-tokoh Sumbar yang berperan dalam perjuangan terbentuknya Negara Republik Indonesia. Salah satu tokoh Sumbar yang ia kagumi yaitu Mohammad Hatta atau Bung Hatta.
“Sejak masa muda saya sangat senang sekali membaca biografi tokoh-tokoh Sumatera Barat,” kata Anies kepada Audy.
Anies mengungkapkan, ketika ia berubah haluan dari seorang akademisi menjadi politisi. Tempat pertama kali ia singgahi adalah Rumah Kediaman Bung Hatta di Bukittinggi.
“Bung Hatta adalah salah satu contoh seorang akademisi yang bertransformasi menjadi politisi. Tetapi tetap mempertahankan integritasnya sampai dengan akhir hanyatnya,” ungkap Cucu Abdurrahman Baswedan ini.
Usai bercengkrama, Audy mengundang Anies untuk mengunjungi provinsi yang menjadi lumbung pahlawan nasional tersebut.
“Kalau bapak Anies ada waktu senggang. Saya mengundang bapak untuk pergi berlibur ke Sumbar,” ajak Audy kepada Anies.
Selain itu, Audy berpesan agar orang nomor satu DKI Jakarta ini agar selalu menjaga kesehatan.
“Dimasa pandemi saat ini, terus jaga kesehatan, terus semangat bapak. Jangan pernah lelah untuk membangun Indonesia kedepannya menjadi lebih baik,” pesan Audy. (Rel)
